West Kentucky
Rarely have I seen a plant that would even come close to averaging 3 beans per pod. I would guess 2.2 beans per pod is a more accurate number in most situations. I would also only use 3000 seed per pound if I had really good growing conditions and I was growing a bean that normally produced a larger seed. 30 pods x 2.2 beans x 125,000 plants / 60# / 3250 = 42.3 bushel per acre. Even at that, it would purely be a WAG (wild *** guess).
