| Started planting beans on April 27. Finished on May 6. Very little showing up in later plantings. Field planted on the 27th hasn't been beans in 5 years, lighter soil with virtually no drainage. Not a lick of SDS showing there. Field planted on April 29 is my worst for SDS. Good fertile well drained farm. It is showing up in the darker low areas as well as the compacted headlands. Probably affecting 20-40 acres in 183 acre field.
Neighbor who plants a little later than me (7-10 days) has no SDS. Neighbor who still plows all his stalks going to beans has no SDS.
Seed rep (Syngenta) is seeing less SDS showing in S21-N6. Is that something anyone else is seeing for that bean? I don't plant syngenta seed but am not opposed to it. | |
