The fuel mileage of the Ford Diesel can't be as bad as what you are getting now. The 6.0 seems a little sick to me down low, but the scream like a typical small block up high. You are getting more truck with the Ford but it isn't new. Remember that the Ford still has 5000 miles warranty on everything and till 100000 on powertrain. I would go with the Ford!
