Subject: John Deere 4440 powershift question

south central IOWA
Went and looked at three of them today and all of them did it with one not being as bad.

When you go from park to first with the clutch pedal down it would start to move forward. Also would do it in reverse. You can push on the brakes but when you let off it still wants to move. Is this normal all the time? Does it only do it when the oil is cold and not when everything gets warmed up good? Or is the clutch out of adjustment somehow? Something in the tranny wore out?

Also when I would downshift with the clutch pedal down it would still downshift as if you wasn't using the clutch ( downshift and slow the tractor down). Do they not freewheel?
