Bourbon,Indiana | Steve, If you look at the pics closely, you will notice a parallel patch of native grasses/flowers on the other side of the lane. Also, farther away (past the field corn you see in the pics, we do have what you would call a "buffet". I'll shoot some pics, but there includes several types of sunflowers, German R strain foxtail millet, sorgum, fieldpeas, etc, etc,. We also planted some field corn at 14,000 pop. (for large ears & stalks). Threw in some oats mixed with soybeans here & there. All told there is about 5-7 acres now seeded under these power lines & between the woods. Oh, and I should add that I added some 50 year old(not a misprint) clover seed to the tillage radish to use as a filler as well as see what germination would be like on 50 year old seed.The bag has been sitting in the barn loft since before my time, away from the bugs & rodents. I'm curious to see what happens.
