Subject: CHECK THE CAM LUGS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serena Il, Center of the Universe

NOW! I MEAN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!  Sorry for yelling but my 4430 did that also.  I looked at the lugs casually and jacked up the tractor, checked for play and found nothing.  I crawled under it to check thins out and found nothing.  Sooooooo I went to get back on the tractor to move it ad as I pulled on the hand rail I didn't go up the tractor came at me.

After new underwear and a trip to the ER for xrays(ran the first step right down my shin).  I looked at the lugs and over half the lug bolts had rusted and snapped.  The reason we didn't pick this up was that that tractor had a fresh paint job and that held the rust in the hole.  I was fuming mad and about to throw a fit till it dawned on me that i had just been under the tractor.

We changed all of them on the other side and they were getting bad.  So we changed tthe ones on my 4440.  They weren't bad but I felt better.

Please all of you on the older tractors check them

Greg Marshall
