SE PA | You have great idea that alot of farmers are starting to try- presicion planted cover crops. I think it's the hottest cover crop aspect this year. Can cut your seeding rate in half and most larger famers have bigger planters than drills which allows for more timely planting. Tillage Radish has a "Precision Plus" grade of seed made especially for a planter like yours with sugar beet plates.
I am working with the Precision Planting people right now to optimize the best settings and plates to use for those with JD planters. Hope to have that posted next week.
