Northwest IL | So take the tour plus the other 18 firms that put out guesses and that would be 57 total ears. At $4.00 corn that is a whopping $1.65 they are stealing from you! So lets say the USDA says 165 tomorrow and next week all the firms went on the same type of tour as the JD Crop tour. After they all do their figures the average guess would be more like 161-162 for all the firms. I don't think you would mind taking a profit if the market rallied with those numbers. I'd rather they steal a few ears and actually be out in the fields then looking out of their AC office windows and just throwing a number out! | |
