New Mexico
a lot here much like your thinking.

Using the feeder board.
one example: basically buying 5 to 550 wts....bringing em back on say the Oct., splitting the up, investors making approx $40 head.

Works out to 1% return per month on investment partner's capital.

Jeff if you need dough to fill the lot...just figure the afore deal ( perhaps put Your total COG incl DL at 75 cents which gives You 25 cents Up there, since your hard costs will run say 40 to 50 cents etc).

Hang a couple adv notes around town, local elevator, coffee shop etc., and it will suprise you how many retireds call and want to put 10 to 30 k in partner pen deals on these cattle.

Keep in mind You ALSO make 1% per month on Your partner's cattle.

Still some pretty good ways to make money running the cattle "hotel" so to speak.

Down here incoming does Not get much lot time.
Grass now thru Nov then winter wheat.
Hard COG runs 25 cents to 50 cents wholesale, markup is 50% Net thus Your operation always Net Profits a $25 per cwt of gain on the 75 cent resell.
