The correct pin out is...
Grand Island, NE
NewAg1 has pin 1 & 2 reversed in his message. This is the correct pin out.
Pin 2. connected to center pin on part that goes into side column - signal
Pin 1. connected to side contact on pin that goes into side column - ground
Pin 3 & 4 are correct.
