You've nailed it.  

I have yet to see where Cadet does anything on key species such as marestail or waterhemp or Palmers, unless they're very tiny as you said.  It looks to me like Cadet does more damage to the foliage of soybeans than what it does to the pigweeds. 

(And, yes, all the 'burner' type chemistries antagonize glyphosate to some extent.)
