.85 is correction factor I have found works here. Others vary. But people doing these type yield estimates tend to pick the best ears, best stand, best of everything. The 15 percent correction gets a more workable number HERE.
Reality, once it gets within tester range I can get real near the final yield by shelling 5 ears we picked in order down the row. ((Population/5)*wt*moisture conversion)/56
