Wll, they do use GPS to outline a field & mark where they have sprayded. I can remember back in the '50s & '60s when we had planes spray for armyworms someone would have to stand at one end of the field with red flags for the pilot to line up his pass on. Once he lined up the flagger ran like he!! to get out of the way of thespray, then would have to step off the next pass. As a kid I thought it was pretty neat to see the plane come straight at me at what seemed to be not much more than head high. First couple times I didn't run fast enough, quess I shouldn't have any "worms".......LOL
