Nevada, Iowa | I don't know how much effect this had out of my area but we had a significant frost event here on Mother's Day. I don't think some guys even noticed the problem but it tied corn up in my fields and set things back at least a week. The affected plants were very random, maybe two or three in a row then fine for one or two or ten. The lower lying (better) ground was much worse and the hills were not affected at all. Just wonder if that's what the sweet corn producer was seeing. Did you see frost on your farm? Looks like we may be from the same part of the state. | |
