Michigan.
Just a theory, but my beekeeper has been involved with working on the cause with the extension for a few years now.

RR Insecticides are his call. Namely Imadaclorpid/neonicotinoids.

Termites when exposed go goofy and get lost, and his theory is the same is happening to bees.
The timing of the onset of the new RR insecticides coincides with CCD as well.
His other theory is the "Organic" pesticides in greater use, like Spinosad and BT's, and the growth altering pesticides like Confirm, which are often applied during bloom, are somehow affecting the Bees.

The only sweeping change in AG that could possibly affect bees, is the phase in of the RR stuff.
It's ironic that the bees fared better when us fruit growers were pounding out 1.5lb applications of Guithion weekly.
