Northeast MO | I finally worked up the nerve to walk out in our corn for the first time yesterday. Yields will be all over the board in the same row, I can't imagine how frustrating it will be to harvest and dry. We have had 55" or more of rain since planting, and all of it has been at least 2 in. at a time or more, until now. Now we are getting sprinkles. We are in the Mississippi/Des Moines River bottoms in extreme NEMO, and I fully expect our yields to be the worst we have ever had with the exception of total loss in 1993. | |
