West Central Alberta Coldest, wettest edge
I would be willing to bet that the author(s) and all of the agreeing posters also believe in anthropogenic global warming, 911 conspiracies, Iraq conspiracies, etc. The same anti industry, radical lefties who are against all progress.
While I don't believe a word of it, I still believe that the best thing that could happen for farmers is to turn back the clock on some of these new technologies. Imagine what crop prices would be like if you were still achieving the yields you were 20 years ago, with todays demand? The advantage to a new technology and increased yield is too quickly disappear once everyone adopts it, and increases supply. Unlike most of their other destructive hair brained schemes, such as stopping global warming by killing industry, at least this idea would benefit farmers, at the expense of the city people fighting for it, now that is justice.
