SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ | I agree with Marc, usually this pop occurs about the 1st week in aug "here", if you spray then the residual will get you to the end of aug by then the temps and shorter days seem to thwart any efforts to repop. Just as well hit them early and not take a chance on yield loss. I haven't seen very many fields go from 50 to 1000 and then back down again in august(unless there sprayed). Usually EVERY field has them and they get so thick that they seem to migrate to the lesser fields by the kabillions!!
When they start spraying in jackson county we have about a week to get spraying, so far this year they are a little slower in populating, must be all the rain slowing them down.
Hey Marc the car show is sunday, we are coming up, I want a personal tour of your corn bean strip fields if possible?? | |
