I've had ten inches in an afternoon before, June 6th of 2008. In the past two weeks we've gotten right around that 10" mark again in total. Can't get a lick of hay off the ground to save our a$$es!

Ain't it true.
I have looked at the pan evaporation for WI to compare with hat here. TRying to see if Dan Undersander's hay curing graph is dramatically different than conditions here.
Sure was difficult to find a few days in WI that had reasonable hay curing conditions.

When we get more than a few inches in an event we do not get to keep all the rain but we get to use it in our averages.
The 4¾" last night did not create near the flooding one inch will during the spring time. A good bit of this rain water went down the cracks.
