N. IL | These moths have been getting more numerous for the past week and are now as thick as Corn Borer moths used to be 10 years ago.
What are they? I have talked to several agronomists that aren't sure. About half the size of an ECB moth with few markings on the wings, a little bit of striping parrallel to the wing, but very faint.
They are the only insect/moth we have had all summer and hope we never discover what they will turn into in the field. I have talked to several neighbors who are alarmed at the density of these things between 9-10 pm. The windshield and grill/bumpers are just filthy.
