| Also spartans window of activity (strong) is 45 days or so i never became a fan of putting it on 3 weeks prior to planting. Doesnt make sense to lose half your kick time waiting to plant. Your comment about acres to cover is amusing. I can spray a quarter an hour + fill time. You can spray it ANYTIME prior to emergence , which gives you another 7 days to get it on after planting. Never seen anybody plant a 1000 acres a day yet. My point is you spray from 6am to 9am what took you all day to plant the day before. Maybe if you farm the acres you allude to , you need to be farming quarters or half section fields like we do. Cuts down on drift issues with neighboring fields. In closing, lose the attitude that Spartan needs to be treated like Treflan, sonalan, or prowl. Spray it post and forget it. Works EVERY time..Here is a challenge for next year, try the way your no till neighbors do it and do it post, if it doesnt work, then complain to high heaven. We will be waiting. | |
