Jake,

The Montag is designed to shut off the metering circuit if a single meter plugs...found that out the hard way!

We cleaned it up on Monday and I didn't find any 'gummy' residue on the augers. A scale under the skid would make sure that my rate could be checked with ease, but the Integra makes it pretty easy to calibrate from day to day. I would usally fire it up in the yard and make sure i had equal distribution over all of the runs before I went to the field for the day.

At 200 lbs/ac I could get about 40-45 acres per fill on a very full load. Between rains and doing other stuff on the farm I never got a good full day in, but still managed to knock off 125-150 acres per day.

I had a couple of spots that I overlapped on point rows, but didn't drop my rate down to check. When the going was good I figured I'd just put it on. I hoped to do some, but never got the chance...maybe next year?
