The story is an engineer from Mayrath/Hutchinson went to work for GSI. When he died GSI quit making transport augers. I know of several farmers who have inline augers (Mayrath and GSI) and are happy with them. One fellow said you can't see if the gearbox is leaking but I don't know that he ever had any problem.
