the advantage with the raven system is that it has the sonar, but you can also put the wheels on it and let the hydraulic pressure sensors work in the background. For instance you can set the sonar to the height of 30" and put the wheels as high as they go so that if the sonar dosnt react quick enough the wheel touches down and the autoboom instantly lifts up. I have run Raven, Norac, and Deere and other than when you are spraying over a canopy at this point in the technology world you CAN'T BEAT THE WHEELS. I spray 20 mph through ditches any which way and the wheels are the only thing that give me confidence that im always getting 30" spray height. Spraying in-crop with a canopy is different then you rely on sonar, thats why im saying raven gives you the both of both worlds. I have never used their new CAN system you speak of, but there are a few in the area and havnt herd any complaints.
