North Central Kansas | My Fathers day gift was that I got done planting tonight. Started corn April 20th finished milo June 20th. It has been a long haul. Glad it is over. May still have some to plant for the neighbor but I finished what I started out to plant so I am happy. Should have been done sooner but the weather just hasn't cooperated. .75 of rain tonight. Missed it last night so I was able to finish the last 60 acres today. Time to get the combine ready. Probably could have cut wheat today as well but I wanted to finish one thing before going on to the next thing. Several of my neighbors still have milo to plant and some soybeans. Our windows to plant have been very narrow and spotty. | |
