You need files xxxx.shp and xxxx.shx and xxxx.dbf and typically the prj is a projection txt file describing what projection the shape file(s)....are created under.  It is not needed.

Trimble is looking for "shape" files that are "non projected lat long".

I am not sure what the mcd file is about.

xxxx=all 3 files having the same name.
