Central Kansas | In our area early applications did not work very well. It seemed that the rosette stage did not have enough growing point above the ground and since the sharpen gives 1 week per ounce residual it didnt really go well. I used Enlite (which has valor in it) then resprayed when marestail came out of it and got back to 3-4 inches tall. I used some Sharpen at 1oz and some with at 1 oz with 2,4d. Both worked equally well but made sure I used at least 12 GPA. I think coverage is the issue on marestail with sharpen plus make sure you use the adjuvants as they are really important with a PPO Inhibitor. Overall 1 oz of Sharpen is cheap and I will be using alot next year where I have marestail problems and will switch to Optill on grassy fields. | |
