Had another 1.65" again this morn! Just can't get more then 3 -4 days in a row w/o more rain. A lot of erosion with this system The corn that I got planted is looking good. May 6 corn shading together and June 1 corn 4-5" and now covered up with mud at bottom of hills! I imagine the beans I got planted Thurs. will prob. be up before I get the rest of the field done. What a mess, the 3rd yr. in row! Gotta wonder why I keep wanting to do it. Each yr. a little less of me wants to keep fighting it. The city folk have Absolutely NO idea what it takes to feed them and how much stress is involved!! Sorry, had to rant a little to keep my sanity |
