Devils Lake, ND | 1) Puma herbicide 11 years ago made post-spraying wild oats in wheat a lot more consistent.
2) The Anderson opener, as much as I despise it, coincided with a big jump on no-till acres. (Assuming the No-till purist cult accepts that as "No Till.")
3) Martin row cleaners, with the same stipulation as above.
4) RR canola made rotation on broad scale realistic.
5) Spartan herbicide for sunflowers for the same reason.
6) Heavy-duty household matches. Burning that straw off in the fall makes it dry out a lot better in the spring. | |
