Subject: What to do about Central IL Badgers?

Central IL
This field has had a single badger den for about 5 years now with no issues or signs that they were expanding. Now I've found a second about 1/3 of a mile from the original. At first the novelty of Badgers in Central IL was interesting, but does it only get worse from here if we don't get rid of them now?

We're conventional till, but some of the farms around us are notill/vertical till, which I would guess is contributing to the problem (more mice to eat in those fields). Even if we do get rid of them on our farm, will the problem pop up all over again because of nearby mice?
