Saskatchewan, big whitetail country!!! | Haven't seeded anything here yet. Looks like I will not. Does this strike you as bad?
It is a disaster. There is no other description. I am at least 10 days from trying. IF it got very hot. But forecast is for rain on 6 of the 7 coming days. You can drive for MANY miles ad see nothing seeded. What is seeded is drowning and VERY LATE. A lot of guys will go down this year in our area. Me included, IF this is not recognized as a disaster,and dealt with accordingly. I'm not holding my breath.
Think of it this way. How long could your farm last if only 2 of the last 5 years, you were able to seed a crop due to excesive moisture, and you received a measly 50 bucks an acre less deductible on the acres you could not seed? |
