SE ND | Yes they need to be timed, do so on the left hand side of the combine. Also if the other gear that you did not replace is worn they will be noisy for a while until the new one is worn in to the other one. Ususally replace both if the other is worn because it will cause the new one to wear out faster. The timing procedure might be in your book, can't remember for sure, but its easy. Basically just have a small inspection hole and line it up so the cogs on the rolls fit between each other when they come together. | |
