Subject: RE: radish planting

SE PA
I’m not familiar with the radial bean meters. I did look them up on the JD website but I still couldn’t discern if they’d handle Tillage Radish® seed. My best answer at the moment is to put a few pounds of seed in the hopper of one row and see what happens. I would assume a few seeds would go in each seed hole. But will the smaller seeds get stuck anywhere? If it looks like it may work you’d then have to play around to get the seeding rate adjusted as well. This setup probably wouldn’t give the precision of a sugarbeet plate but would probably be better then a drill. That’s my thoughts without have any experience or knowledge or anyone using the radial bean meters. Any one else with radial bean meters have thoughts on this?
