I use 18.4R46 tires and duals for the same jobs. If you are flat, it makes no difference. If you have sidehills, the narrower tires will give you a little more room to cheat up hill. I am more concerned about the front tires being narrow--I run 14.9R34 on the front spaced at 64" for turning easier
