Subject: Mowing Hailed Corn

OK, I have a field that got hailed on last week. Looked at it last Thursday the day after. It looked pretty bad. Not sure which stage it's in but it was planted 4-20. I haven't gone and looked at it since, giving it a few days to see what might grow and what might not. The question is if the growing point was still below ground and these plants will continue to grow has anyone gone in and mowed a field to get rid of the dead material that might inhibit regrowth? Thanks in advance!
