I bought a 2000 this spring....greater Chicago seems like a long ways from here to get a bike, but I think I got a deal. Absolutely love the bike. Wife likes it as well. Before 2000 they had a plastic oil pump gear that could fail. Some have been fixed, some haven't.
Was going to go for a ride tonight, but mowed lawn instead: (
