Embarrass WI

I have a selection of Milwaukee 18 volt tools, and a batch of batteries, all the NiCd type. I was pining for a cordless angle grinder, Milwaukee makes one now but it is listed as using the Li-ion battery. Can I use the batteries I have on this tool, or would I have to have yet another syle of battery and charger around?
