Subject: 28L26 tires on JD 1910 aircart...

Crawfordsville, Arkansas
Currently running a 1919/1890 JD air seeder combo. Air cart has Firestone 28L26 turf tires on it. They are rounded up and causing a lot of compaction especially when the cart is full. Its a 270 bushel cart btw. I am pulling it with a Quadtrac.

I see a lot of larger aircarts running rice and cane tires. Would I benefit from them? I really think a flat face tire like a Trelleborg or Michelin would do the trick and help spread out the weight better. We've planted in some pretty soft ground this spring but a lot of my land has too much moisture one day then 12 hours later it'll be too dry. Sort of a "get it while you can" type situation.
