I am using mine on a tractor with no cig lighter, I just bought a cigarette lighter reciever at auto zone for about $5 and wired that into battery (with an inline fuse). Agree with other posts about just cutting it off but I like to use the cigarette plug to connect it to 4 wheeler too so didn't want to hack into the wire.
