Guelph, Ontario | It is the MCPA in the Buctril M that acts on the Horsetail.
We have had good luck with low rates (0.1 l/ac.) of MCPA with 7 gal./ac. of water in crop in corn and preplant in beans.
You don't get it all at once but we have found if you burn it off whenever you get the chance you can make a large difference.
The other product that does have activity on the weed is Broadsrike Dual II Mag.
