You can also get yellow seed metering inserts that go along with the yellow meter roll. To change them, you need to take the black plastic pieces off and pry the black bump piece out and put the yellow bump piece in. It cuts your meter capacity by about 40%. I have them in my meter roller and had a hard time getting 50lbs of flax/acre out.

I think the part number is A84477.


I bought a new complete meter from a Deere dealer and am now curious if it has these inserts in. Does it stick up closer to the meter roll to cut the rate or how does it work to achieve the 40% cut?
