Subject: Re: Holstein Fence

Kingston,Mi
I have 4 wires of high tensile around my lot, center 2 are hot top and bottom are grounded. Only have had 1 simental get out in the 15 years or so that this has been up. A good hot, low impedence fencer and good grounds has kept all the holstein steers in. I start them with a short section of hot fence and a lot of corral panels to surround the other side. Several jolts from the fencer and you would have a hard time driving them thru the fence, I watched the misquito control aircraft try it. Steers would run from the plane until they neared the fence then they would run back under the aircraft rather than touch the fence.
