They dont build a water jug that will stay upright in a tractor cab on our level ground so I can imagine what all difficulties you run into. You said these were not built for dozers, were there any differences besides the obvious, no blade, hydralics on the back, anything in the powertrain ?
Yes, on the later models like our D4D and D6C the transmissions are different they have a direct drive tranny instead of powershift and they dont have a road gear like dozers just 5 or 6 working gears.
The engines were all turned up after leaving the factory on ag cats because dozers are limited by weight but for farming horsepower was limiting.
Also the track pads are generally a little wider on ag cats. |
