We always set the applicator up so that the end knives got a rate & a half. This can be accomplished by putting a Tee in a 16th outlet from the manifold or if using a cooling chamber running the vapor hoses to the outside knives. and then we skipped the bulk row middle If running a bar where we ran a knife down every middle (13 knife bar on 12 rows) we would put a 1/2 rate with the outside knofes so when the knife doubled back in the bulk row middle you ended up with a full rate.
