Subject: Will Cutworms Survive Wet Weather

West-Central Missouri
Checked some corn 1 week ago, had some cutworm damage mostly chewed off at stem above ground, very few below ground, I believe it would have been about 1-2% cut off below ground. Cutworms were about 1/2-3/4 in. long at that time. Corn was still in VE stage, 3-4 in tall.
Since then we have had solid rain for about a week of around 6-7" No way can we run a ground rig, Just wandering if 1st generation black cutworm can survive these rains. It makes it worse when cool temperatures and wet weather cause really slow growth in corn. Thanks for any advice.
