I've heard of guys using a Helena product but I've never thought was worth it's weight. The smart growers i know use T-22 on the canning beans...I guess that includes me. WOW!
Any way we use a complete fertilizer and try to apply a measured amount of N in a 1-P-2 or 1-P-3 ratio N:K(depends of soil test) P as needed. personally I use about 40 units of N and 80 to 120 K if K extra is called for broadcast. ALso hte band should be 2 1/2 or 3 inches away so to as avoid burn. Old rule of thumb from OSU on tomatoes was total of 75 units of N + K if2 inches or closer at planting
