Subject: Re: Outback S3 vs STS

SE North Dakota
we bought the sts units last year and were not happy with them. It was the first year out and we were having trouble with the software. They updated the software two times and now it works great. The only thing that i know of that the sts won't do versus the s3 is running a baseline rtk system. I works good for straight line for being on waas signal. It is kind of one of those deals where u get what u pay for. The outback is about half the money as the trimble systems that the new IH tractors come with that run on waas. I like the sts screen way better than that EZ Guide 500 that trimble sells, but the trimble is straighter in the field. I think that it has a lot to do with the trimble has wheel sensors and the outback does'nt. Just my opinion.
