Subject: RE: MX 255 transmission fault problem....

Qulin, MO
Mine had a similar problem the other day. When I would turn around at the end and let my hitch down and start to ease off the pedal to take off it would start blinking that I needed to put the tractor into neutral. I had to turn off the tractor to get it to reset. Also, it was having trouble switching clutch packs (6-7 and 12-13). They told me to look under neath on the right side of the tractor near the hydraulic filter (that is on the back side of the rear wheels). There is a wire going into the transmission that is a sensor. The wire on mine had gotten bare spots over time. They said that could have caused it.

I don't know if that was the only problem. They took it to the dealer and put a new sensor in. It had a MFD Fault also so they were working on that too. I don't know if they found anything else on the transmission. Think they might have reinstalled the programming or something like that.
