Central Kansas
The thing on top the drum is a Slectro seed shutoff. Shuts off 4 rows at a time. Just put them on the other day so yesterday was the first time I got to use them. Works ok except the monitor blows it's horn anytime you shutoff any rows. Might share an experience with everyone that happen yesterday. Was making my last past on a field and only needed 8 rows planting. Knew I was about out of seed but thought I'd have enough to make the half mile run. Well at about 3/4 of the run, ran out of seed......first though, oh crap, I'll have to walk to the pickup to get another bag and then the light went off. BINGO,...............go to the other end, turn around and plant with the 8 rows of the hopper I had shut off. Nothing like having extra seed with you when ya need it!
