SE North Dakota | I know that this is not the right site to post this but this is the best site I know. I got a 2000 chevy malibu with a 3.1 and about 150000 miles on it. I quit the other day and it acts like it is not getting any fuel. I changed the fuel filter today which had not been done for quite some time. The filter was plugged bad. The car started and then it faded away and died and now will not start again. I can hear the fuel pump energize but i do not have any fuel pressure at the fuel rail when i hook up my guage. Could the fuel pump energize and still not pump fuel? In my past experiences with electric fuel pumps is they either run or don't. Could the fuel pressure regulator affect not having any pressure? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. | |
